STOCKTON — According to Recordnet.com, Attorney Neat Allen Sawyer issued a letter of complaint, dated August 23, 2018, to the Stockton Police Department and Mayor Michael Tubbs stating that a false police report against his client, who remains anonymous, had been filed. California criminal defense lawyer Allen Sawyer is calling for an internal investigation that would reveal the parties responsible for authorizing an eight-day investigation into alleged threats made against Mayor Tubbs. The letter claimed that abuse of authority and retaliation occurred.
Attorney Sawyer is giving both parties 10 days to either open an investigation or respond before filing a complaint with the San Joaquin County civil grand jury.
